Kokichi Ouma had been sure that his group could make it out alive. Absolutely sure. But, he was forced to watch that all go to nothing. He was the smallest of them and was able to dodge quicker. He had to watch as a couple from his group were picked off by zombies, no matter how many he or anyone else in the group had striked down. Even more had run off after being seperated from Ouma. Now alone, Ouma must find a way to stay safe and try to find the rest of his group. Will he be able to? Or will he end up finding new company? Probably. But, will he pave his way with more lies, or tell the truth of his lonely tale?

(First book of the trilogy) Kokichi, a kind, extroverted boy, moved out to a new city and dropped out in a new school: Spring Field Academy, he quickly made friends here and became one of the popular students, but soon after a few weeks, he notices that one of his classmates is left out from everybody else. Kokichi never saw that boy speak to anyone, neither did he hear him talk in the first place, so of course he decided to try and befriend this lonely boy. He did all these bad things, yet.. Kaito still believed in him. Kaito was strong willed, and also idiotic. He made Kokichi laugh.
