In a dystopian-apocalyptic future, most of civilization has been wiped by the Elder Gods of Red Devil and it's King; Icarus, following a massive strike and war between the humans and the people of the Citadel. After being subdued by the Citadel with self-destructing genes that will take action on their respective 21st birthday, The Morlocks, gifted assassins with extraordinary powers, rule the world by preparing to master their abilities and assembling to enter the decade's 50th Tournament of Power. The prize? Nothing more than to serve as the most skillful assassin in the Citadel and to obtain the mysterious black box; a box containing the cure and the power of immortality. Ariadne Greyrose, a morlock with cryptic abilities and the sole daughter of demon-King Icarus, seeks for her place in the Citadel. Haunted by recurring strange visions and a power she cannot quite understand yet, Ariadne is chosen among the seven entrants for the tournament--and the deadliest of them all. But soon, she learns of hidden secrets that the Citadel has been keeping from their land of Niflheim; how the end of the world is approaching, no one is safe and the tournament is not a competition, it is something much sinister than that. Convinced that Ariadne's powers are the key to saving the last of humanity, enigmatic Damon helps Ariadne and the rest of the Morlocks to uncover what her powers and visions truly might mean. But, with the rest of the world laying in their hands and the whole world watching them, there is only two things you need to watch out for in the warzone; all secrets will have to come out and you cannot trust anyone around you--not even yourself.
