I ran as fast as I can, looking everywhere, forgetting the short cuts and the street itself. I looked back for a second seeing 12 or so zombies behind me. I was going to die! "YO!" I looked down an alley way and saw a chick. She ran out and grabbed my hand running down somewhere. She looked like she killed many zombies. Blood stains was all over her, and she smelled like dead animals. She pulled me upfront of her and started to kill the zombies behind up. They all died by her hands and she looked at me. "Hey, I'm Luna, you are?" she questioned. "Mavis." I said.

The Mutation
Amari Mavis was in the military for 6 years, she suffered from PTSD and has distanced herself from society. She now currently resides in a nice secluded cabin away from the city. She started therapy a couple months after she arrived home and has continued to do so for the past two, almost three, years. Her therapist gave some suggestions to help her heal which is how she met her reliable canine companions: Flake, Bane, and Pepper. Other than her three beautiful dogs, Amari has only ever spoken to two other people; Sherry Curt and Frankie Carmen. They were her fellow comrades from the military, bonding over the experiences that come from serving your country. One day she wakes up like every other morning...or so she thought. Not The Last {Rough Draft}
~Thank you for the continued love for this series! I was 13 when I began this book, and am now taking the time to go back to completely rewrite it, and maybe just publish someday~ I'm 15 and my name is Astrix. Let's start with that. That seems like an easy thing to start with. Now, let me add in some other details. I live in a zombie apocalypse. Yeah, that's about as enjoyable as I can make it seem. Now let me add in something else. I'm wanted by the CIA for reasons that I don't even know, but I guess I will find out eventually. Maybe somewhere within my story I will figure it out. I'm well known as The Bad Ass for reasons that are kind of obvious once you meet me. Maybe that's why they're after me? Because I'm a Bad Ass? Nope, I doubt that. Ok, Who Got Bitten?
Right now, I'm squatting in a pile of human waste, desperately trying to get a signal on my phone. My friends are watching me reluctantly, their faces stained with blood and what I only hope is dirt. The light from my phone is illuminating their faces, casting light on the looks of horror that I have come to know all too well. My best friend is cradling her left arm, bandaged with a torn piece of cloth in hopes of stopping the blood flow. My sister can barely walk, and I think her hand is broken. She looks on the verge of tears. As we calm down, catching our breaths, I give up looking at my phone. I slowly turn to them, my own face crusted with blood. I look at each of them, one by one. I stood there leaning against the door for a second. Then screams reached my ear. I looked to where it came from and saw a girl at the other end of the hall laying on the ground with a gaping hole in her stomach. Three other students had ripped away at the girl's insides and were chewing it up. One paused for a second and looked up at me. He stood up and I panicked. I knew him. He was in my chorus class. August was his name. He had blond, curly hair, blue eyes, and was probably the tallest person in the entire school. August opened his now bloody mouth and let out a screech that sent chills down my spine. He leaped over the other two cannibals and the now dead girl and broke into a sprint. As soon as he leaped I had also started running. I made it out of the 300 hall and hid behind the vending machine that stood at the entrance of the hall. Seconds later, August was standing just inches from me. He looked around and I stayed as quiet and still as I possibly could. I didn't even breathe. After what seemed like years of waiting, August turned back toward the dead girl and walked out if sight. I stayed where I was for a little bit longer until my lungs demanded I start breathing again. Directly in front of me was the library and cafeteria. To the right of the cafeteria was the auditorium and the music hall. "If I could just make it to the chorus room maybe I'll find some of my friends," I thought to myself. I was about to take my first step when I looked down at my shoes. They were brand new and when I walked, they squeaked. I took my shoes off as quietly as I could. I had my Captain America socks on and I knew I'd have to take those off as well. I just couldn't risk slipping. Once my feet were bare I took off in a quiet sprint towards the music hall. How awesome is that cover though!? Lol my dad made it.Concluida

"I-I'm sorry for waking you up. Please forgive me Alpha." She basically threw herself to her knees and bared her neck: a sign of submission. I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. I thought we had begun to move passed this, but I knew deep down it would take more than holding her to get through this. I walked over to her and pulled her up gently to her feet. I grasped her chin in my hand and lifted her head up to look me in the eyes. "Jasabelle, you are my Luna. You are not my maid, you are not my servant. I will never punish you...well in any way that will cause you harm." I chuckled but my wolf howled in sexual frustration, waiting for the misbehavior of our mate so he could make good on the promise. --------- Nyx has finally found his Luna. She's perfect to him. The sky was a flat, depressing grey and the incessant, soaking rain left her constantly chilled. It was a typical "liquid sunshine" day in the Pacific Northwest. They drove past a single tall scraggly tree on top of a hill shrouded in mist. The creepy tree was full of screaming crows. How could she hear them from inside the bus when she couldn't even seem to hear the voices of the kids around her? Geez, that was an awfully freaking dark image. She shivered and looked away. What did they call a group of crows again? Right, a murder of crows. Perfect. The weather was certainly the only thing that was typical these days, although you'd never know it by looking around the bus at most of the kids as they sat joking and gossiping with each other just like they had before... before that day everything had changed. I gave up on this book sorry!!!! Prologue: The sky had always been a canvas of infinite shades; serene blues, fiery oranges, and dusky purples that whispered the passing of time. But tonight, it was an unforgiving black, thick and suffocating, as if the stars themselves had fled in terror. The wind, once a gentle lullaby, now carried with it the stench of decay, a bitter harbinger of the nightmare that had begun to unfold. It started as a whisper in the farthest corners of the earth, a murmur of sickness that no one paid much mind. A fever here, a violent cough there-symptoms too common to cause alarm. The news reports were fleeting, overshadowed by politics and celebrity scandals. But as the days turned into weeks, the whisper grew louder, more insistent. Hospitals overflowed, bodies piled up, and the once indifferent world began to notice. By then, it was too late. The first to rise were the ones who had died in fear, their final moments spent in frantic horror. The infection moved like wildfire, an unseen hand turning the once living into twisted mockeries of life. These creatures, driven by an insatiable hunger, spread chaos across the globe. Cities burned, governments crumbled, and humanity was brought to its knees. In the midst of this chaos, there were those who fought to survive, clinging to the remnants of a world that was slipping through their fingers. They would become the last hope, the final line between the living and the dead. But even they knew, deep down, that hope was a fragile thing. I was almost to the door when I remembered the leather jacket I brought. I turned back to the room and just as I entered the most wonderful smell hit my nose. My wolf started to go crazy and I looked up to see a small pale girl with black hair in a bun and pale blue eyes. All my wolf kept saying was MATE over and over again. The room blurred until all I saw was her. She was cleaning up the table when her head snapped up to my direction. Her eyes widened and she instantly bowed her head down and stepped back from me. "I am sorry Alpha Colton I did not know you were coming back." She said shaking in fear. Just then Alpha Andrew walked in and slapped her. "DONT JUST STAND THERE CLEAN THIS SHIT UP!" My wolf sprang forward and I grabbed Alpha Andrews throwing him across the room. I Knew i was on the verge of shifting but it was pointless in trying to calm my wolf. "YOU DARE LAY YOUR HAND ON MY MATE!" I growled then grabbed his head smashing it into the wall knocking him out and turned to my mate. She looked at me with wide frightened eyes and backed away. I knew that my eyes were glowing red and my canines were out but I was pissed and didn't have a good temper. When she stepped away from me again I let out a growl and she instantly froze. "MINE." Charity Andrews is a werewolf who hasn't shifted yet. She is abused and mistreated by her pack for this reason because they don't think she is anything but a worthless human. That all changes when Alpha Colton comes for a meeting. Alpha Colton is the coldest meanest Alpha that many fear. When he goes to Alpha Andrews pack to settle a rivalry he didn't expect his mate to be the packs punching bag.
