This is flash fiction at 350 words. I wrote it for a short story contest and I had to use the words angel and watermelon. Mostly I write YA fiction.

A Guardian
"The world around her swam with mottled light. How long had she been fighting?" So...in sixth grade we took this computer-skills class. Our final test was to write a short story in Microsoft Word. My story ended up fleshing out into the trilogy I am working on and planning to publish at somepoint in my life, but I realized how incredible my writing skill has improved between just the two or three years. So, I decided to re-write the original sequence of a short story, same plot and characters, just with current skill. Comments and feedback are appreciated, please enjoy!Concluida
O Negative
Content Warning-This story is meant for mature audiences. It features adult language, references, situations, sexual content, graphic violence, and gore. Fantasy, horror, and science fiction are my favorite genres to read. They are also my favorite to write. I've enjoyed writing since I won my first writing contest in the fourth grade. That was over twenty-five years ago and I haven't shared a sinlge word of it. Imposter syndrome is a bitch! Well, I finally managed to pull the trigger. Here is "O Negative". It's a mix of all of my favorite genres. I've mixed a fantasy, based on present-day Earth, with plenty of graphic horror and wrapped it all up within a world driven by the technological advancements that only can be obtained from millions of years of civilation. A small group of strangers find themselves surviving in a decimated world. It's bad enough to be stranded in a no-name town, but things become surreal when you realize the vast majority of humanity has died...it becomes terrifying when you realize you aren't that lucky to be alive. "Survivor's Guilt" isn't a thing when you find yourself the sole food source for an entire group of beings that no longer need to hide in the shadows. Man is no longer at the top of the food chain...they are now the cattle.

This book is essentially just a compilation of all my short stories that I've written over the last couple of years. Story titles with '🏷️' are inspired by a short story prompt or other literary work, whilst ones with '📙' are stories purely from my own imagination. Ones with '🧩' may be an excerpt from a larger story I'm working on, but can still be considered as a short story by itself. Also just letting you know in advance that I wrote quite a few of these when I was younger and they are really bad 😅. Well, even my recent ones aren't the best. Tinder and Other Tales
In 2018, I put together a simple draw to challenge myself (and anyone else who wanted to try) with flash fiction prompts made up of three suits of cards, shuffled and drawn. The clubs denoted a genre, the diamonds were an object, and the hearts were a setting. Starting with January (A fairy tale, a tattoo machine, and a prison) and drawing once a month thereafter, over the course of a week with no more than 1,000 words, the idea was to write a flash fiction piece using those prompts.
