"I won't fight you!" I screamed at him. "This isn't you!"

"If you don't then you'll die a lonely coward!" He yelled back.

"Please, don't do this." I begged breathlessly. "Please." the tears flowed freely down my face.

"Now, where's the fun in that?" He smirked, "don't try changing this, you already know it's too late." Looking toward the other's awaiting eagerness with a devilish glint in his eye he hummed, "after you."

The darkness is growing stronger. It's becoming easier to fall into its tempting promise of power and strength. Staying blind to the truth is easy when it isn't breathing down your neck, but what happens when the dark threatens you? Or, more specifically, those you consider family?

When a bond thicker than blood is brought to its knees, and the only way to save them from themselves is to give up...then what choice do you have? What do you do?

You surrender.

'What are you doing here?' he said angrily forcefully yanking my arm. 'I told you to stay hidden.' I pulled my arm free. 'I know but I wanted to help!' I told him with creased brows wondering why we were wasting time. 'By getting yourself killed? Is that your idea of helping?' his deep eyes shot daggers at me. 'I don't care! This is my fight too?' I argued shooting back the daggers. 'You don't...' he mumbled the rest of the statement running his hand through his hair in obvious frustration. 'This is a war, not one of your childish games, Santana.' Injured by his words, I shot back. 'Then i would rather die than li...' I stopped when the atmosphere immediately changed...drastically. His eyes narrowed into mere slits as his face grew dark and he seemed to loom darkly and threateningly over me. I shivered as I stepped back in both awe and fear. He suddenly scooped down and gripped my shoulders pulling closer to him while lifting me off the ground until i was almost the same height as him. 'I will rip everyone's throat with my bare hands before I let anyone touch you.' he hissed his eyes a deep shade of grey that they were almost black. I sat shaking in the cold, glass box I have spent most my life in. As a child, I would be thrown in here whenever I disobeyed orders or whenever I complained of my head throbbing like the sound of a hammer smashing a wall. As I grew up, I spent more and more time in here learning the lessons - that were close to impossible to figure out - that would cause the walls to dissolve and set myself free. "Maybe if I help you learn your lesson, you can join me at the dance?" He calls out of the darkness once again, my body growing in anticipation to see his face but still he remained hidden. "You might be here for some time then." I sighed and rubbed my arms with a chill, catching some of my wounds that were still healing. I had the urge to scratch at my skin again but I held myself back. "Is that a yes to the dance?" He laughed causing me to laugh again, I took a step back from the glass and into the bright light of the box, that didn't seem to make a difference to the outside. "Well, I am dressed for it and you would be helping me....how could I say no?" I asked rhetorically and I felt a brief movement from behind my see through prison. "Shall I help you learn your lesson then?" A playful tone echoed out towards me and I tilted my head, holding back a smile. I nodded, I had guessed he could see me and by the small sigh of content I had been correct. "Or I could do this?" Before my eyes had caught up to the shift in the dust particles, a man stood behind the glass, now clearly visible to me. His dark hair fell over his eyes, high cheekbones pushed his eyes into slits as he smiled at me and not a flaw on his skin. Dressed in a black suit and tie with a grey shirt, his finger reached up to the glass. He touched it for half a second and it dissolved beneath his pressure and my eyes widened in shock. "Now may I escort you to the dance."

Worse still, he wants nothing to do with her. "Why do I feel you're my mate? What have you done to me? "bellowed the King. "How do you know I am not your mate?" I asked, growling in frustration. I did not want to be his mate any more than he wanted me to be his, but his cocky attitude was getting to me. "Because you are not even a werewolf," he grunted, his black irises shimmering dangerously. "You're a liar," I screamed not caring that I was talking to the most lethal creature in the world. He roared in laughter, the sound of which irritated the hell out of me. Aargh! How I wanted to rip his heart out even as I wanted to glue my body to his and stay there forever, basking in his scent. I was so mad that I wanted to show him how wrong he was. Soon, he would be sorry, he would kneel and beg for my forgiveness. The mental image of him on his knees made my lips twitch with amusement. I started phasing out to my wolf form, and when I stood in all my glory, I prowled and preened to show off my beautiful fur. He laughed even harder. I simply wanted to kill him. Yes, my wolf was small, but it existed. Why the hell wasn't he on his knees then? "As I said, you're not a werewolf," he repeated. Huh, what did he mean by that?

I ran as fast as I could. " you can't run away from me forever sweetheart, you are mine." He said, " what do you want from me?" I screamed at the top of my voice. I was frightened. "Isn't it obvious by now?" He asked but it was more of a statement. Suddenly, he was in front of me making me stop abruptly. He placed his hand on my face, and his fingers pierced into my skin, drawing out blood, I winced in pain. He brought his face close to mine. "You, I want you, Deva," Following that, he disappeared into thin air. My eyes flew open. My breathing was faster than usual. I had been dreaming. "It's him... Again" I whispered. "He's the one turning my dreams into nightmares." He's been doing this since the day I turned 15. I'm Deva Devona, a 20-year-old princess and the only daughter of Queen Devina. I grew up without the love of a mother. My Mother, Queen Devina, is a very powerful witch whose only worry is her kingdom. Excluding the man who has been tormenting me in my dreams, even my mother fears him which means whoever he is, he's a mighty being. Little things I could gather of him told me he was indeed a very powerful person. The most powerful person in the world.
