For many centuries, princesses from the Kingdom of Liananda have been chosen to be Lioness, Hunter, Protector, and Queen. One year, Queen Magenta and King Andinas had a son, Prince Nico. The citizens weren't too happy about a boy protecting them. Many wanted to see him killed, many wanted to lock him up and forget about him, like his father. But very few wanted to see him rise to Lion, like his mother. The Queen held the king back from locking her son away, but the king didn't have to be nice to Nico. Who will he protect, who will he trust, and who will he choose to be? He must choose quickly because the world is far more complicated than he realizes.

A retelling of the Hades and Persephone myth, a story of fate, the struggle for power, and love found in the most unexpected places. ***** Persephone has been raised in Olympus all her life - her mother absent, her father a cruel king, with her siblings teaching her all they know. She has seen all of what the gods and goddesses do and she is sick of it. When she learns her safety is threatened by staying in Olympus, she flees to the Underworld. There she stays until she learns that her leaving has caused the world to wilt. But leaving behind her newfound friends and Lady of the Underworld is something she will not do willingly, no matter the consequences.
