J'étais une simple étudiante en littérature anglaise quand on me détecte un souffle au cœur . Je suis inscrite d'urgence sur une liste d'attente pour recevoir un nouveau cœur. Mon cœur fatiguait de jour en jour, et les médecins m'avait dit qu'il ne me restait plus que 6 mois grand maximum. 
Au bout de 3 mois d'hospitalisation toujours pas de donneur. Je baisse les bras et me résout à profiter de chaque personne que j'ai à mes côtés. 
Au bout de 4 mois et 18 jours, j'ai un nouveau coeur. Je suis heureuse car je vais pouvoir reprendre ma vie, mes études, mes loisirs. Or je vais vivre avec un muscle étranger à mon cœur. Et à mon grand désarrois, la vie de mon donneur empiétera beaucoup trop dans la mienne. Son passé deviendra mon présent et peut être mon futur.
