Princess Fallon is the last remaining heir to the kingdom of Eddan, but in order to ascend the throne, the law decrees that she must be wed by her nineteenth birthday. However, to determine who shall be ruling sovereign, all of the kingdom's eligible bachelors must first prove themselves―by entering the ancient tournament of the Blood Battles, where only one competitor can emerge victorious to be crowned as the next king. 

But Fallon has other ideas, and refuses to sit back while her fate is decided for her. She creates a plan to enter the tournament in disguise, fully determined to fight for her own hand and compete against the other young men of the kingdom; to win the crown that is rightfully hers. Partnered together with her childhood best friend, and a mysterious man with secrets of his own, Princess Fallon is about to undergo the greatest challenge of her life. Will she make it out alive, or is she signing her own death sentence?

Inspired by the tales of Mulan, but with a fantastical twist, 'Sovereign' is a tale of action, friendship, romance and betrayal, in one girl's quest to defeat the odds of her circumstances and become a queen.
