Nerado se prisjetila svoga prvog puta - uplašeno je gledala tamnu krv kako se polako nakuplja na mjestu gdje je povukla rez, malene bistre suzice putovale su njenim blijedim obrazima dok se u njenom umu vodio rat. Rat sa samom sobom, ona najgora vrsta. Lagano ustade i neprimjetno frknu, spuštajući krvavu ruku u kadu, te pusti vrelu vodu. Šteta, doista, no to je i ona primjetila nakon svega nekoliko sekundi kasnije kada je osjećala nelagodno pjeckanje i blagu bol koja je prolazila njenim tijelom pa sve do kratkih svježih ožiljaka.
