Still, she yearned for a child equal to herself, perhaps even more than she was. There was a way. God himself had given her the idea, although that was not his intent. He had forbidden Prince Mastema, one of the strongest spirits, from taking her as his wife. She wasn't surprised that the Prince wanted her. Lilith was the original woman, undiminished by the limitations placed on Adam and his mortal descendants. Mastema had taken other wives and the command was weaker on his descendants. With each generation the barrier was weaker. Now it was weak enough for her to overcome, at least for a short time. One night was all she needed, and she had found one of his descendants that sill had the power of the Nephilim in his blood, although most of it lay dormant. Lilith's heart beat with excitement and hope as she walked through the door and into the party celebrating the recent victory of Mr. Tony Mastim. She could feel the power deep inside him.
