"What's your name?" he asked. I hesitated. "Dawn." He repeated it under his breath once, then again, slower, as if he was tasting it. "Dawn." The sound of it hit something in me that shouldn't have existed. But then his gaze hardened again. "You were with her," he said quietly, anger laced in his face as he brought up Mandy. "How do you know her?" "I don't," he said tightly. "But I know what her pack did," His words confused me, "she's a killer. I've been tracking her for weeks." My blood ran cold. "You're lying."
