There's a lot of fan-fictions out there about Thranduil and his wife, but I've yet to find one I enjoyed. Here's my version of the tale, with many events from other Tolkien canon works-Silmarillion and Unfinished tales among others-carefully tied in. It's not your typical Fanfic- but that's why I wrote it!

Valerya is a young lady of Rivendell who returns after 10 years overseas. She has exactly one year to choose a husband, but she does not wish to marry just anyone. She wants to marry out of love. The backstories and the characters used in this story are just inspired by the ones in J.R.R Tolkiens books. So there will be some changes to them made to better fit my story.
