When a little kid gets startled by a bad dream, we don't usually think much about it. It's normal to scream yourself awake sometimes, or to awake to the feeling of your heart jumping out of your body.
We make these nightmares seem like they're just pictures made up inside your head. Like they're simply images that have no meaning to the reality that we prioritize.
What happens in the dream world stays in the dream world.
