Ava had been one of the first people to greet Jeff's family to their neighborhood when he moved. They had a spot where they would meet up all the time and vent/talk/ hang out. And it just so happened to be a fountain in the woods. When Jeff goes missing Ava still goes to the fountain and one day she's greeted by someone.
