In the summer of 1971, a recent high school graduate, Thalia Monroe, is taking over her great aunt's flower shop. John Deacon, a regular customer asks her out on a date and their relationship begins to grow. She meets his band, Queen, who is currently working on their first album.

Everything goes awry when the two get completely drunk at John's twentieth birthday party.
