This is a story of four orphaned brothers with extraordinary abilities. Pressured by a world in ruins, they must use their powers to save the world, and themselves. This novel does not give much of a back story. The characters personalities, abilities, and morals are a mystery to the reader. As you read along you will learn more and more about the brothers and the differentiating ideals between them.

Long ago, 4 gods ruled over humanity since their beginning, but after growing bored, they decided to play a game with humanity. Dividing their power into 52 cards that give humans a part of their power, the gods then disappeared leaving behind a prophecy that said one card wielder would rule over them.
