Aurora Dale lived as a girl who performed shows in pubs, in a desperate attempt to achieve a career as a musician.

Ethan Chong worked as a waiter, due to growing up in a poor family. They moved to America from China, when the Ethan's mother realised she was pregnant, with another child.

The two, cross paths, when Aurora performs at the restaurant that Ethan works at. The two become friends, and clearly have feelings for each other, however, they soon discover that they only have a certain amount of time to spend together, before Ethan has to head back to China.
