I slowly bring down her sweatpants and bruises . So many bruises. I pick her up like a baby and I bring her over to my bed. I place her on her stomach and I go and get a wet towel and ice to dab her scars. I walk over to her. She's asleep. I sigh. Slowly I put the ice and towel on her back. I go and lay down opposite of her. I kiss her forehead and whisper "baby, it's gonna be ok."
