If they need groceries or can't make their rent, he takes care of it so they can focus on their studies. And so what if Cas shows up at the apartment with increasing frequency, even when his brother isn't home, and so what if maybe his gaze lingers a little too long on Dean. He's just being friendly, right? So why does Dean's heart beat faster every time the man is near, and what the hell is going on with those damn butterflies in his stomach every time Cas touches him? It's nothing. Right? Maybe not...

The one thing he didn't know was that Cas was gay. The other he didn't know was that Cas was completely and totally in love with him. Oblivious, Dean launches into a new relationship with a girl he meets at the mall one afternoon, and it tears Cas apart seeing Dean with her, especially when it looks like for the first time in his life, Dean is getting serious about a girl. Charlie, being the good friend she is throws a party and invites Cas. There's an interesting guy there that catches Cas' eye. Sweet fluff ensues, and it's soon after that Dean learns Cas' biggest secret. He is also faced with emotions he has never felt before, especially in regards to Cas. He finds himself jealous and angry when he sees Cas with Luke, and at his brother's suggestion he decides to confront his true feelings for his best friend, and tell him how he really feels. There is a lot of pain and heartache in the beginning for Cas, but I swear it ends on a good note. I hope you all enjoy!

Dean's out searching the night for a human Castiel after the fall. When he finds him broken and in pieces, Dean feels he has no choice but to comfort the man. Their friendship blossoms as their feelings unfold and come to true terms when they find themselves in danger.
