Everything started in 2036. The pollution was so bad that the end of the world was predicted to be right around the corner. As complete panic set in around the world, the rich and important people were all gathered and placed on giant spaceships with enough resources and room to house generations of human beings. Before they left though, the government leaders fired As a result, most of the human population died off and earth was a complete wasteland. The little that survived started building local communities and trying to survive in the destroyed excuse of a planet. On the disaster of a planet, creatures mutated and were born out of the nuclear chemicals; creating new species and monsters that hunted humans. While hundreds and hundreds of years passed, the monsters kept evolving and the people kept adapting while still trying to keep a sort of community. They didn't want to lose all of their humanity and become nothing more than animals that hunted the monsters: then they would truly be no better than the monsters themselves. So they stayed civil while still doing what it took to survive.

A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. Most survivors live in hidden cities, avoiding the ancient ruined cities at all costs. But not Jace and his crew. As a group of Stray Humans, they've made the decaying cities their home, roaming the forgotten streets, never staying in one place for long, and bringing all their skills to the table. They are a family, working together to make sure those things, Aliens, never take another human as long as they are near. When the aliens of A.C.R. (Animal Care and Rescue) find a new group of humans wandering the ruins of a large city, they think it will be an easy capture. But they soon learn that these particular humans have more willpower than most. They dodge every trap, disappear around every bend, and even manage to take some of the already captured humans with them. The aliens pity these "little creatures"-they just don't want to leave their home, but Earth is falling apart at the seams, and they are determined to take the stubborn little humans to the safety of one of the mother planets. As the narrator, I'm tempted to simply write "Middle Finger" because that is essentially what you'll feel like I'm giving you in telling this story. However, for the sake of not being a complete dick, I'll write a little more than just a description of a disrespectful gesture. This story can aptly be described as crude and deranged. As you may have surmised, a crazy person will be telling this story, and the characters involved are indeed also all crazy in their own special ways. So, given this exercise in mental illness, the topics touched on (in no particular order) in this tale are destruction, death, superpowered wackos, torture, pain, loneliness, chaos, the will to survive, never giving up, giving up and not giving a shit, the desire to protect, failing to protect and causing more trouble than was already present, disappointing and/or abusive parental figures, bullies, unjust punishments, just punishments, racism, violent and usually superpowered fights, sci-fi gadgets, bitterness, sarcasm, twisted and demented comedy, control or lack thereof, weird and awkward high school drama, lies and brainwashing, alien aggression, moral ambiguity, unhinged villains, fantastical weapons, a piece of shit main character, conditional friendship, a fuck load of musical references, anger, fear, depression, extra-dimensional creatures, godly powers, various esoteric connections, pop culture references, and of course, in general, superpowers.

The Beasts blended in amongst us as if we were the same, except humans didn't have the same predatory instincts and we couldn't change our forms like they could. Years ago there was a blackout. One day all the lights went out. The cars stopped running. Electricity no longer existed. Nothing that ran on electricity works anymore. People panicked and tried to survive for as long as they could. Some made it out of cities the others stayed. Our government fell and militias took control. The Monroe militia took over. Then one day he found electricity again. He used it for bad and soon conquered the whole world. Years later our world now runs on electricity again. The Monroe militia is still in power and they force teens to go into an academy to train as merciless killers. This is where I go. One question I always have in mind is, In a world where hope is the only thing we have, Can love exist in the middle of all this war?
