Nakida is just a simple blacksmith's daughter... with a deadly secret.

In the world of Valkyra, Water-users were hunted to near extinction 300 years ago. Nakida is the first Water-user born in three generations and her tribe is hell bent on keeping her magic a secret. But when the King and his oldest son come to inspect their desert camp, Nakida suddenly finds her secret has gotten loose. Now, she's whisked away to the capital where the royal family can keep a closer eye on her.

All Nakida ever wanted was to embrace her magic like everyone else was allowed to do, and live her life the way she wants. But what does the Royal family want with her? Is she there prisoner? Their pawn? Their guest?
