HTTYD x Tangled: The Series Crossover Idea

This is a story idea I might eventually write down. If anyone wants to write this idea, let me know so I don't bite at you for stealing my idea.
So, 14-year-old Varian has been thrown into prison for nearly killing Queen Arianna and threatening the Kingdom of Corona. The last he heard of the princess was that she and her friends were heading on a journey to discover the source of the black rocks. Six months later an attack on the Kingdom has Varian seeing freedom as a side effect. Knowing that nowhere in the kingdom is safe for him, Varian leaves Corona all together, unsure that he would ever find a cure to free his father. With only a bag he grabbed from home on his way out and his best friend, Rudgier, Varian becomes an exile and a fugitive on the run.
Varian manages to get onto a ship in order to get further away, but his plans get halted when the ship gets shipwrecked and he and Rudgier are stranded out at sea. Little food and even less water, Varian and Rudgier are on the verge of starvation and dehydration. Suddenly, the two are saved by two strange individuals. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third, Chief of Berk, and his dragon Toothless, Alpha of all dragons.
Brought back to Berk, how will Varian and Rudgier live in this new environment?

Note: This is based off Tangled the Series which if you don't watch it you will be very confused. Sorry this thing isn't very good, it's my first fanfic. I am so sorry for stealing this in the past, if you somehow see this do forgive me! ~ 2025 Edit: Wow, it has been a hot minute. The series finale just hit its fifth anniversary, and as I was thinking about it I remembered this fanfic existed. ...this is certainly a piece of work, lmao. Between the writing style being very reflective of my age to the self-deprecating comments I wrote about my own writing to the stolen cover art (my sincerest apologies for that, I am going to change it but the original is by @codynaomiswireart on tumblr) it is beyond me what was going through my head when I wrote it. It is for that reason I found myself shocked to see it with thousands of reads and comments, which thank you for by the way, I did not realize there was this much demand for moon Varian lol. For now I intend on leaving it up solely because it is hilarious to me and a good reflection on what was at the time a very important show to me. In the present, a lot of my love for the series has been somewhat diminished, due to many factors. But I won't deny what it did for me then, as I have moved onto, what I am hopeful to view as far greater artistic pursuits lol. Meanwhile, on Berk, the village assumed Hiccup was dead by a Night Fury's doing and left it at that. Astrid and her friends, however, didn't think such. Because of the mayor's memory ball had appeared her something and in Kaye’s blood, her parent’s blood was mixed. So she thought it for few minutes if she’s powerful to accept or not to accept.
