"Is it an apocalypse or nihilism on your lips?"

At eighteen, you develop one ability, whether it be flight or power over hair growth, selective immortality or whatever weird skill your dad's dad's had.

Brendon was lucky enough to be one of the few with telekinesis, but unlucky enough to have it be inherited from his jerk of a father who's more focused on taking care of a city than his own family. Alone in his new discovery, the only person he can confide in is his best friend, who has enough problems of his own.

Dallon was unlucky enough to discover he was given the same abilities as his father, who was killed fifteen years ago after losing his sanity and trying to annihilate half the city. He's lucky enough to have any power he chooses, as long as nobody finds out.

The problem is, a ship floats away with no anchor, there is no control without a rock. And they're about to find out the hard way.

They never even knew the other existed. In such a big world, everything's single focus was SURVIVING. One was forced to begin his treacherous journey of simply existing at a young age all on his own, his only thoughts were surviving and getting stronger and smarter. No real goal. The love in his heart very slowly withered away, but still remained. The other has been training since he was a pup, but why be strong if there's no one to be strong for, right? The love in his body has been stored and saved up for so long that his heart aches for affection and love. Though they were different species from different worlds, they both still continued to hold onto compassion and love in hopes that everything would change one day, even if it meant losing parts of themselves that would only be regained through the process of time. The day they met, their lives would change. Through all the despair and bitterness, there would still be joy and satisfaction for both of them. For better or for worse, they were MADE for eachother. There will be sacrifices. There will be horrible, agonizing challenges. They will NEVER be able to turn back after making the choices that shape their lives. Will it all be worth it? Was stepping through the portal with him worth it? Was bandaging his leg worth it after all this time? Does knowing he went through hell for you make your heart break? Do you feel upset knowing he is still anxious? Know that there will be consequences to your actions. But...it will all be worth it in the end. Keep pushing through. ... Dallon is one of the popular kids who drinks and curses, but he hates the attention. He has loads of friends, but he's lonely and just wants to watch movies with a true friend. No one knows that he's gay, not even himself. His family is supportive of everything he does, but he doesn't realize until he sees the other side of it. Brendon is shy and mute because of his stutter and anxiety. He's innocent and would never utter any sort of curse word. He gets bullied a lot, and no one seems to care. Brendon is also lonely, but he has no one at all. Everyone thinks that he's a freak. His family is broken. His mother isn't around, and his father shouldn't even be called that.
