But no matter, his daughter, Beatrice Snicket, will take his place to report the unfortunate events of the Bauldelaires.

She had volunteered to investigate The Island. She had been stuck for the past two years. With too much on her plate, the suspicion of her colony leader, Ishamel and struggling to unravel, a word which here means investigate and solve or explain, the secrets of The Island, the Bauldelaires appear.
