Being a Halfblood is dangerous. A group of people who are very dangerous and need to stay unpopular. Being Halfblood means your life is a threat to everyone around you, and if anyone knows of your mixed blood, you won't last long.
A mixture of light and darkness leads to limitless power; a struggle to keep hidden. But being born with this struggle, Emma has learned to control her Halfblood self. As an uproar begins, Emma must choose which side she will live by; the beautiful light that keeps its people bright with life, or the pitch darkness that fuels its people to rebel and listen to on one but their own people. With her fate and permanent life on the line, Emma becomes frustrated with who she needs to be with her difficult choice arriving sooner and sooner. All Emma has learned and perfected over the years becomes questionable, Emma turns to the memories of her mother, a woman who stood her ground and was proud of her powerful darkness. Being raised by such a woman set high expectations for Emma. Strong will and a sharp mind becomes difficult to maintain as the walls and reality of her world is destroyed one after another.
