With a swift beat of her wings Enchantress launched herself into flight while her rider, Talon, clung to the saddle he was seated in for dear life. As Enchantress reached the summit of her flight she stopped for a mere second at the apex before diving towards the ground at blinding speed until, they were about to hit the tree line below them. Just before she reached the trees, Enchantress levelled out and begun flying normally. When Enchantress was happy that she had frightened Talon enough, she started to fly at a gentle but fast speed thus allowing Talon to see with ease the ground below and savour the relaxed but powerful atmosphere of being a dragon rider for the first time.

Even when growing up, Elia didn't fit in with the other girls. They would dress up in dresses. She wore cloaks. They would cook and sew. She would throw knives. They liked boys. She liked bows. Elia was a bit of an outcast to her village, with her striking dark brown hair that was always kept back in a fishtail plait, and her light blue/green eyes that seemed to change colour in the light. I grew up in a world where dragon riders were revered for not only their bravery and looks, but also for their intelligence. Children would spend days on end studying just in the hopes that they would get accepted to the Rider School, and those who did get accepted left their homes like kings, followed with respect and well wishes. It had been years since a dragon rider had been accepted in the Rider School from my town, which was understandable since we boasted a population of only 100 kids in the acceptable age range. Every year we were visited by the Counselor, the man who decided who would be accepted, and every year at that time our town lit up. Festivities lasted the Counselor's whole stay, with competitions to test children's intelligence, stamina, strength, and looks set up to look like games. Every year my brothers and I would be disappointed by our results, until my 15th year, when everything changed.... There's something I need to do in the woods!" she said as she rode over to the side of the road and dismounted, running into the Royal Pine Forest as Brandon called after her to wait. He quickly dismounted and swiftly lead his horse over to Celine's, taking its reins and tying both horses to a tree before going after her. "Celine! Wait!" he called after her as he realized that he could hear a very low humming noise coming from within the woods. "Maybe she's following the noise," he thought as he began to follow it to find where it was coming from and hopefully locate Celine. He pushed through the underbrush as the sound became louder and then he saw Celine standing in front of a whirling, shimmering vortex which was floating about four feet above the forest floor. Zoe froze as a loud squawk sounded ahead of her. She looked down to the ground were she followed a blood trail. The dragon had stepped on something sharp as it fleed from Zoe. The poor thing, I just want to help. Zoe walked forward as quietly as she could. She could hear the exhausted breaths of the white dragon. Zoe approached it quietly, but failed to not be noticed. The dragon instantly lifted its head in Zoe's direction, but laid it back down with a deep exhale. Zoe could see the blood oozing from the deep wound in its talon. Zoe approached it and kneeled down next to it. The dragon curled its tail tightly around itself. Zoe kneeled for a second in awe. Never once had she seen a white dragon. It was like seeing a ghost, which the dragon was just as quiet as one. She looked at the bright purple on its wings, it reminded her of the flowers the petunias. "You're very pretty, like a petunia." Zoe spoke to the dragon softly. The dragon's ears perked up and it chirped softly at the word petunia. "Petunia?" Zoe questioned the dragon. The dragon cooed softly. "I'm Zoe."
