Kind of like my "The boys that came before you" This takes place in a high school. This is about a boy, Jeremy, who's secret is, about a year before high school he was a girl named Josline. He ended up almost killing himself because of how terrible he felt. Dysphoria mixed with depression can be messy.

His parents try really hard to get him to be a girl and after he got into a fight at school he has to go to detention where he meets a boy called Devin. While his own view about himself is challenged, he finds himself touching rock bottom. But Nick is just trying to be accepted as himself, Unapologetically. This is a story written for pride month 2024. The hair wasn't his thing, nor was the fleshy mounds all the boys seemed to be obsessed with. He hated having them so much. Between his legs felt so empty, too. Mary told him he was a perfect little girl when he wore the pink dresses and little bows, but he felt awkward with what Mary put him in. John, who wanted a son, was happy to let Dean wear boy's clothes and throw the baseball around.
