Growing up with an abusive parent is never easy, especially when you're still in your youth with no way out. But when things become unbearable, there are always options. In this personal memoir I go through my emotional struggle of being sent back home by Child Protective Services after running away. How does a teen on the brink of adulthood manage to withstand the wrath of prevalent mental, physical, and verbal abuse by the one who is supposed to act as a safe haven, a mother?
