Cassandra Baker is one of thirteen children in the Baker family. She is responsible and often depended upon by her parents to look after her siblings. Her love of dance and for her family becomes quite a struggle when her father is offered an amazing position coaching at a new College. His dream college. Her whole family chooses to move home to allow his dream to be seen through, while their Mom jets off to New York in pursuit of her own dream of publishing her book about their family.

A promise made by their Dad is one that seems too difficult to be kept as things fall apart in the Baker family. Cassie has a big opportunity in New York that her family knows nothing about but is setting up her whole future in the Ballet world and can not be passed up. With no one to confide in Cassie while having twelve brothers and sisters, has never felt more alone.
But there is someone waiting for her in New York when she gets off that plane. And it's not her Mom.
