In the streets of New York, Christopher Maurice Brown was not a man that you'd want to mess with and everyone knew that. They stayed out of his way and tried not to piss him off. Everyone feared him, from the citizens of New York to it's very own police force.

But when oblivious and optimistic Amaya Faith Nketsi moves to New York, she isn't prepared for what she's about to experience in her new city.

Brooklyn could be a fun place or a nightmare. She was a young, pretty girl. Different from most. Growing up in the wealthy parts of NYC but still finding her way to the lower parts of Brooklyn with friends who were much like her but had different backgrounds Her parents hate it but must respect her choices. They were different from each other. Different backgrounds, different lives. He was a drug dealer himself. He didn't have a choice. He had to make it happen any way he could. Women lusted after him, and men looked up to him. The street wear he wore, the energy he had, and the abundance he had made everyone want a piece. They wanted to know what it was like. He was highly protected and well respected. On the other side, she was a straight-A college student who was down to earth and poetic. Despite not growing up in Brooklyn, it was home to her. Her friends were there. They treated her normally, despite her parents' wealth and status. Everyone knew her father was a notorious drug lord. Everyone knew to leave her alone. She was safe. She didn't care about her father's life and what he had going on...until it came in the way of her love life. "Pops can't keep me away from you much longer."
