A group of children are abducted from Zawe and face an uncertain future from their captors. Among the group are the narrators from which the reader will get detailed sequences of events. The captors are a rebel group Remo which is fighting its own government but invades Zawe in a desperate bid to launch its final attack. The captives are exposed to a variety of horrifying acts including the slaughter of their own. The government had been fighting the rebel group since its entry but very few actually know of its existence. That is why the people from the Capital have remained quiet and allowed government to fail its mandate. When the story is revealed to the public the people are not happy. The story entails a lot of happiness, action, betrayal, loyalty, cruelty, reality. The story is best understood when reading whilst a speech on text is reading aloud.
