Ever since she was a baby, Alya Vivani felt neglected. With a deceased father, and an alcoholic mother, all she could do was hope. Hope that things will get better.

And maybe that's why the ring chose her. To be a beacon of light to others, to give hope when all seems lost.

So when she meets Hal Jordan, she becomes something extraordinary. Someone people will look up to. Someone to inspire people.

She becomes Blue Lantern.

(I don't own the Green Lantern franchise or the Young Justice TV show. All rights go to the creators, but Alya is a character of my own. And I also don't own the cover of this book. I found it on Safari.)

Jaina is an human alien. No one, not even the Guardians of the Universe, know where she is from. And she can't remember. Green Lanterns Hal Jordan and John Stewart found her when her unidentifiable spaceship crash-landed on the dark side of the moon and was chosen by a Green Lantern ring. Now, as the new Girl Lantern, Jaina is offered a place on the Justice League's Co-ops team of sidekicks. She's not very happy with the connotation "sidekick", but she's not going to sit around all day and twiddle her thumbs either. As she grows closer to the covert ops team, Jaina finds memories that connect with each member, memories she is very certain aren't really about the team at all... The Justice League better be careful, because at the rate things are going, the team isn't going to be very 'luctant' to just hand Jaina over when her friends come looking for her.
