When Nila arrives at the castle alone, riding a horse bareback, Jaron knows something is amiss. Despite his agreement to stay out of trouble, Jaron embarks on yet another journey to try to save his Kingdom from total destruction.

This story follows the final book of the trilogy, "The Shadow Throne", and takes place right after Jaron and Imogen's wedding.
