Rose and Chris are old flames.

They've grown as people and things have changed. Could the new situations in their lives push them back together.

"So you think I'm fucked up?" I smiled. I know she didn't, I just needed her to smile.

"No Chris." She rolled her eyes and tried to move her head but I held it in place making her eyes meet mine again.

"I know you don't. It hurt a lot at first I'm not even gonna lie to you. I was sad then mad then I just said fuck it I'ma ignore you and that's what I did. I don't hate you. Opposite actually. You fucked me up but I know why and I'm not gonna hold you to it because I did grow. Don't feel sad over past emotions that weren't even yours okay?"

She nodded and I let go of her chin. She didn't move though. Her eyes dipped to my lips and THAT's when she moved. She knew better than to do that, I'd tea-

"I should go." She cleared her throat. "But I'm glad we met today."

"Me too."

She walked back to the car as the sun was setting. Giving her a golden glow.
