At the spur of her eighteenth birthday, Adeleine made the choice to lose her youth and become a mature adult in her society. Her mother, the president and mayor of the capital of Diamandias and of the province of Sliverstone, unexpectedly has to leave for a business trip to one of the five Rebellion Cities around the capital. Everything changes when she turns eighteen exactly. Her mother is assassinated while on her business trip and her house is raided, leaving her step-father, Samas, to fend for himself while Adeleine runs to safety at the Rebellion City of Flint. At Flint, she meets four individuals, all that have a similar past and one thing that each of them share: a birthstone that can transfigure into a weapon.

There is nothing as powerful in life as your first love. When this happens after clacking to a strange new world where people reverse age-let's say it's complicated. The child, who has no father of this planet, will be known as the Unum, a child to lead Saffire. The Helper will battle to keep the Gravidarum safe until the Unum is born. The people of Saffire have been waiting to see The Coming fulfilled. Demalynn assembles a group of clackers to get her home, the most important of which is a fellow clacker: eighteen-year-old Aiden.
