Tamai Ren was born without a quirk and yet she aspired to be a hero. When she tried to get into U.A, she was rejected for not having a quirk.

Reality hit her and she started to hate the heroes that plagued the streets. Her anger and bitterness grew constantly until she finally decided that if she couldn't be a hero then she'd be a villian instead.

After years of training herself to be able to stand up against heroes without a quirk, she attempts to join the villian league who also reject her for having no quirk.

She assures the league that they've made a new enemy out of this but they don't believe her. Dabi takes interest in her determination and decides to meet up to talk.
