Inspired by Gabriel Picolo's "Icarus and the Sun". The candle's head was already burning with a wild and wicked fire that hissed into and licked at her ear with its tongues of flame as it ate away at the candle's wick. A broken lighter accidentally gave her a spark and set her heart ablaze. And though it was the flame she fueled, it was for him that she melted. (This is very, very much a work in progress. I am writing it as lines/scenes pop into my head and not necessarily in order, so there is a high likelihood chapter order will be rearranged often and phrases within chapters will be re-written and/or chapters will be out of chronological order on occasion. You've been warned, and I apologize.)
