Emily Jackson and Jason Winter had been friends for as long as they could remember because their patents practically grew up together. Time passed and as they grew older they grew closer and closer until they were eventually best friends. Throughout the years of high school Jason was basically the only true friend Emily had, throughout every break up and all sad situations he would always be there comforting her.
One night, Jason had decided to take Emily out for a treat. She had just found out that her boyfriend Chase Cummings was cheating on her with cheer leading team captain Victoria Black. She was really hurting and Jason hated seeing her sad. After having an ice cream fudge, burgers and a whole lot of junk food they went for a walk in the park. Time had gotten ahead of them and they hadn't noticed how late it was while they talked and laughed endlessly. Jason's hand accidentally brushed against Emily's and their eyes met. Time seemed to have ceased as Jason stared into her eyes as if he was seeing right through her. A small shiver crept up her spine as he pulled her closer to him resting his hands on her lower back. Her breath hitched at her throat as the silence swept through the air. Her heart was beating very rapidly as he leaned in towards her gently pressing his lips against hers. Butterflies slightly crept in her stomach as she felt as though she was lost in time.
They both pulled away as they gasped for breath. She held onto him tightly embracing the moment as she inhaled the sweet fragrance of his perfume.
What will happen to Jason and Emily? Will their friendship be ruined? Will she give Chase another chance? Will Jason and Emily start a relationship after that meaningful kiss?
