This story is about a young, beautiful maiden. She was without a name. She would sell bouquets of arranged flowers, in hopes of raising enough money to earn herself food, in order to survive. But one day, she meets a man, who promises her food and shelter, and in exchange, she would have to do a few things for him. What she wasn't expecting, was to be swabbing the deck of a pirates ship after a blood soaking battle. Will our sweet maiden last? Will she change her mind, and return to the town, and continue begging for money to survive? Or will she chose to tough it out, until she has enough money to support herself, however long that will take? Well, let's found out then, shall we?

P.S.
This story was originally a hand written book of mine, from about 3-4 years ago, but I have decided to change it up a bit, and actually share it with people. Originally, the maiden was a pirate captain, and her name was Windy, but I thought, A. Windy is a bad name, and B. She shouldn't be a pirate captain right off the bat! She needs a story...
So here we are! Also, it will update every Thursday. Thank you!

A Mermaid for the Lonely
A mermaid named Sirène, whose job as a mermaid is to guide those who have died at sea to rest their souls and not be trapped. She typically finds sailors whose ships have sunk, and pirates and convoys alike. Her personality is one of seriousness, and she does not express herself by facial expressions very often. She does sung lovely tunes though, ones of the sea and winds, not ones meant to lure anyone to their doom. She seldom spends time with other merfolk and prefers to be on her own. She is however very curious of the various emotions humans possess and their intensity, since she does not feel these. One day, while Sirène was staying near Pointe de Pen Hir, a dangerous cliffside that plunges right into the ocean. Looking upwards by chance, she saw a human, a man, standing dangerously near the edge of the rocks. The wind blew harshly and she could only watch and wait as he toppled over the edge and feel towards the ocean. She saw no fight in him as he fell. ________________________________________________________________ This is a fantasy story with my mermaid OC that I started making back when I was in middle school. The prince and girl fell in love, but couldn't be together, for the nobleman's daughter grew jealous when she found out, and ordered them to be killed. This story was called "The Lover's Curse."
