Sixteen year old jaclyn isn't the most lovable person...well at least that's how she describes herself. Her parents left her with her aunt MaiRuth and her uncle James when she was just 7 years old. They moved to Hawaii and started a new family, and lived the perfect life without her. When no one was watching, her uncle James would beat her. 2 years later her aunt passes away and she is left with no choice but to stay with James. He beats her for seven years calling her a home wrecker. He blames her for Aunt MaiRuth's death. She believes him. Jaclyn vows to never love anyone in fear of them being taken away or leaving her. She hates everyone, and keeps up a wall to drown out the voices that tempt her to love.
One night after her hourly beating Jaclyn decides to leave. Her plan works perfectly right until-
