For a millennium, the Realm of Cruor has lived in the dark, scorched lands since the Great war, in which the Taking of the Old Royals, and the Placing of the New Royals followed. The remembrance of the Dragons of House Feire that destroyed their lands, burnt their ancestors alive, and ruled over the Realm hovered among memories. For the Royals of now, it's become harder and harder for the Royals that rule over all of the Realm, the House Gueron, to conceal their secrets. Amandla has lived all of her life, serving the Nobles, Knights, Lords, and Royals of Royal's Landing, not knowing her very own last name. Now, blamed for a crime she didn't commit, Amandla must make the hardest decision of her life; flee to another land, leave everything behind, albeit, not much, or face hanging for being falsely accused. Corbin Water, the bastard son of Orev Heriet, commander of House and Land of the Serpent, is his House's best defender, along with his father's biggest mistake. Shivani and Thana Revier are the twin daughters of Alaistar Revier, though they don't have much in common, they share the same mark of shame, the scorched, scaly flesh of a monster; of a dragon. Through the lands of Realm Cruor, there is a cold as deadly as acid flame, which is rising an army of the dead, the undead, man, and mythic creatures. For a millennium, since the time of the Great War, there has never been creatures as such, all except man, since the Feire bloodline was sentenced to death by the new Royals of House Gueron. House Feire was wiped out, with their House symbol and creatures of myth, the Dragons, along with every other myth. None have been seen since, until now.. When small towns and lands are destroyed, pillaged, as such, the Realm begins to suspect it is the work of an unknown army. Though, the Realm, especially the Royals of Now, don't expect what's coming. Where to see my cover, clearest: http://www.picmonkey.com/p/3AR8BsY1j6a

To bait a falcon, a very small bird is fitted with ball weights attached to a string held by the falconer. When the raptor attacks, the rolling dive will tangle around the legs of both birds, thus ensuring the falcon cannot fly away. Further training involves both the string and treats, often meat from the same small birds, encouraging the predator to return to its handler. Centuries of war between the gods have caused an imbalance in the mortal world. Stark lines of division have resulted in three species, all vying for survival against an increasingly harsh world; The Tasuri, demon-shifters with noble houses stretching back before the founding of cities, shapeshifters in their clans and dens, and the Acera, those without fang, claw, wing, or hoof. The Tasuri city of Rune has never been more powerful, or more desperate. A plague has hit, a disease of infertility that is decimating the population of the purebloods and shifters. The Tasuri and shapeshifters turn their attention to the small, remote villages and towns of the Acera. Defenseless, there is nothing to stop the two powerful groups from enslaving the Acera and destroying the balance of their world beyond recognition. The ruin of the Acera is underway when the Tasuri House of Fyriin births a Warlord. The young warrior, Falx, takes his army of demons into the hills. There, he is gifted a young Acera slave as tribute. Thania has every reason to hate him, but she bears more weight on her slight shoulders than Falx could possibly know. What happens to the world when you take the bird away from her falcon? Warning: This is a historical fantasy, paranormal romance. It will have explicit scenes, including scenes of nonconsent. This world is brutal and harsh. Please take care before reading!
