Youngmin makes it into the  Hwarang. It's always been his dream to serve the royal family. He lives in the Silla kingdom in 500 AD.  He makes friends with the other members in his room, all except Hyonjun. When Hyonjun gives the low blow, hell breaks loose. 

Ok, so this is a short story about the Hwarang. In my English class, we're doing a historical fiction paper. If you read this, and have watched Hwarang, you will probably recognize some scenes. all of my characters are my own, and I will admit that some of my scenes are based off of the show. But this time period is really hard to research for. I researched all I could, but some had to be used from the show. Please don't hate me for taking inspiration from the show.

About eight months ago, I met two characters who spoke to me. Their relationship was based on trust, friendship and an incredible attraction to each other that went beyond the physical, and I could see how they would evolve just because of that foundation years down the line. This story carries forward the story of Yi Hwan and Min Jay Yi from the Korean TV series "Our Blooming Youth". I had severe withdrawal symptoms once the series ended. I wanted to keep travelling with them. I wanted to know how they developed. I was eager to uncover the transformation from uncertainty ('maybe') to astonishment ('OMG! It's real!') and the ensuing chaos of "WTF do I do now?" What did the path forward look like for Min Jay Yi and Yi Hwan, as they made their personal journey through their one year of separation? I felt this was a story that was needed to be told. It was as important to the growth of their relationship as a couple as it was when they bonded over common goals and promised to always be at each other's side.
