"There's no meaning to virtue without sin, my child. Don't fret, you're only human. I made Human's with emotions, didn't I? What's the point if you can't feel it. Feel it, because you must. You're not human otherwise. Hate, hate deeper than you've ever hated. Love, love deeper than you've ever loved. That's the feeling of being human." Fate has a plan for all of her children, or at least, she should. But what happens when eight people are born out of the hands of the Holy Quartet. Though Fate has no life laid before them, someone else has large plans. Plans that intertwine these eight people's lives and fates in hopes of bringing peace and balance to their world once more. Children of the Holy Quartet are born with a soul made up of eight core virtues and sins that are balanced against each other in sets called Oras. However, more and more people's Oras are becoming greatly unbalanced causing Thrae to fall apart at the seams. Eight chosen people are born with one Ora that is completely unbalanced and fighting against each other. Throughout there lives, this leaves them with torment, guilt, and constant confliction. As they encounter the fate that an unknown entity has chosen for them and they're lives become intertangled with each other, they will fight a physical and mental battle with the sin that weighs them down.
