Hermione Granger, Head Girl and top witch of her age, is facing a year like no other: a year without Voldemort, Harry, and her parents. Returning only with her friend Ginny Weasley and a mentally struggling Ronald Weasley, she struggles to learn how to handle new emotions and how to cope with the trauma from the war without her friends, and a certain Head Boy is not helping her concentrate, either. With tensions still high between the light and dark side of the war, Hermione and Draco are both in danger at Hogwarts.
