Normally you would expect this love story to be about a guardian angel that falls in love with the person he's supposed to protect.
That's not the case when it comes to Valentina Isabelle Figueroa and her best friend Rose Isabelle Hawking.
When Rose dies in an unfortunate skydiving accident the summer before her and Valentina are supposed to head to college, she becomes Valentina's guardian angel.
She watches out for her and makes sure no one hurts her, but then a guy comes along who just screams trouble.
No matter how hard she tries she can't protect Valentina from him because that's not her job, all she can do is watch helplessly, but there's a chance this guy's not all bad.
She'll find out soon enough.
