This is my first try at writing anything. I'm sure there will be mistakes. I'm open to any and all advice to improve. Please be kind, I'm new to this writing thing. I also do not have rights to the music. I just added it because I felt like it set the mood for the chapter. 




Zoraya has a lot going on at home that she feels she has to hide from everyone. To her it's embarrassing and she feels like it keeps her from being able to trust any or all types of relationships. To say she has trust issues is putting it lightly. She does everything she can to stay off peoples radar regardless of who they are. It could be her parents, teachers, principals, and sometimes even people she could consider friends. She's shy around new people and has always kept people at arms length for fear of being hurt in any way. 

On her first day of her sophomore year of high school she meets Kason. One of the hottest guys at her school. He's wanted to know her since he's first laid eyes on her. There was always something about her that called to him. He wasn't sure what it was but he wanted to find out. He's even more intrigued by her because she has no clue about his popularity and seems to not even care about it either. It's like breathing fresh air around her and he feels like he can really be himself around her without being judged. He can sense she holds back a lot and he wants to break down the walls she has built. But will she let him get close enough to do it? Will she even give him the time of day? What happened to her that keeps her so closed off to everyone?All Rights Reserved

"I'm such a bother to yall." I choke out. "I'm so fucking weak. I can't even defend myself." Xavier's arms unwrap from my body, and his hands hold my teary face. "I'm a worthless h-human." Xavier furrows his eyebrows in pain. A tear of his own falling down his face. "No," he says shaking his head. "No. You've never been a bother to me. You aren't weak. And you most certainly aren't worthless." I gasp to breathe, and he continues talking. "What you are is an amazing person who hasn't let all of this crazy bullshit affect her. You handled it like a champ. What you are is a strong, brave being that has stood by my side." I breathe as he leans closer. "What you are, is the love of my life...."

"Fuck my life.." I grunted. I can't believe my last words were going to be useless. I half expected it to be "tell mom I love her" or some sappy shit like that. But turns out my last words we're utterly useless. How I got here? Trust me I don't know, I was sipping the liquid from my red cup the first second and the next thing I know is I'm running towards him. ••• Well, Juliet Evans have always hated the football team due to the trauma they inflicted on her brother- they outed him from his closet, if you know what I mean. Ever since that day they have been harassing him physically and emotionally. As his twin, she took it upon herself to protect him- if she had to swing a fist, you bet your asses she would! Here enter Luke Rivers, he was a part of the "No Brainy Bunch" as Juliet liked to call the Football team. Sure he stayed in the sidelines and watched his friends do horrible things- that's what Juliet hates the most, the bystanders who never bat an eyelash when it comes to abuse. He was automatically an asshole by association. Because after-all, Birds of the same feather flocks together right?

Hey guys, So this is my Josh and Maya story. This is the first time I'm doing something like this and hopefully I'm never gonna be as obsessed about a ship again in my life :D. This story takes place throughout the time from the end of the show. Maya and her friends are in their Sophomore year in High School while Josh is a Freshman at NYU. By the end of the story, Maya will be starting her senior year of Highschool and Josh will be a junior at College or so. I tried to combine the Disney sentiment of the show with more adolescent content. So there will be a bit more intense stuff here and there. But the first few chapters will be more light and modest so bare with me please and give it a chance ;). Update on Januray 2023: I just finished my major construction on the story. I didnt change the plot nor the sweet scenes between Josh and Maya but I did change the stuff after the plot because I made it too dramatic in the first place.
