Just when you think the worst is over it comes back to haunt you. Tessa Paulson was a normal, ordinary girl until she got dragged into a conspiracy so out of control that she had no clue how to react. After spending a year trying to run away and hide from it she discovered that there was no going back. She would have to face her past, present, and future if she ever wanted things to be normal again.
On her "mission" she runs into countless old friends sparking old romances and problems. Her old friends, Jaci, Jessie, Nate, and Alex are all pulled into the conspiracy as well. Even though they all have a common goal, some issues from their own pasts may throw them off course. Some will try to run away, some will hide, and some will fight.
But the lesson each will ultimately discover is that they cannot run from their pasts.

Nathan is a teenage boy with a rebellious streak, marked by his short black hair slicked back and a faint goatee that gives him a more mature look. He's someone who often feels misunderstood, both by his family and the world around him. He's introspective and struggles to connect with others. the family was on a three-hour drive to Grandma's birthday. The morning was filled with the usual chaos of a busy household, with Jess rushing to pack and making sure everything was ready for the trip. As they loaded the car, Mark double-checked everything, while Jess made sure nothing was forgotten. During the car ride their car broke down in the forest, Nathan wandered off and discovered a hidden village. The villagers initially appeared hostile but eventually spared his parents. After standing up to bullies, he earned some respect, and his mentor began to soften, though Nathan still felt like an outsider, unsure if he would ever belong, Nathan never thought what his life will be like in the next 10 years. ❝We were quite a cliche, weren't we?❞ he smirked but I ignored the pang it spread in my chest. ❝We were. But this is real life. We can't hang on fantasies anymore.❞ ❝Then why can't I forget you?❞ Adult life wasn't as easy as Hailey expected. Her job is ungrattifying, she founds herself being flat mate of her college brother and on top of everything, now Nate Herond, her high school boyfriend who broke her heart five years ago is back. (Kissing Series #2)This is the sequel of 'Just Kissing', I recommend reading the first part but it can easily be ready as a stand-alone.
