Straight A student, Amanda Marin finds herself failing her history class. As an extra credit assignment, her teacher asks her to tutor Daniel Evans, the school's soccer captain and biggest jerk. They go through a series of struggles until they finally realize their growing feelings for each other. However, just when everything seemed alright, their world comes tumbling down when Daniel finds out that he has a dangerous heart disease. He tries to keep it a secret from Amanda for as long as possible until a terrible tragedy strikes.
