Josué, é assim que se chama um dos meus melhores amigos. Nossa amizade começou por volta de 2014 e em pouco tempo nos vimos fortalecidos por semelhanças agradáveis e desagradáveis. Este texto foi escrito, originalmente, em 2016 como forma de presentear o próprio Josué, em seu aniversário, contando a ele uma história hipotética sobre uma vida perfeita. Quando imaginei o desafio de escrever um conto por mês em um ano, e muito além, quando decidi encará-lo lembrei deste texto. O procurei e o encontrei. Ao ler a primeira versão percebi que de conto ele não tinha absolutamente nada. Longo demais, personagens demais, acontecimentos demais. Ele precisaria passar por transformações. Foi o que aconteceu e o resultado está aqui. O que nasceu como um presente de aniversário para um amigo se tornou um "despresente", afinal, todas as intenções iniciais foram deixadas de lado e o clima da narrativa tomou outros rumos.
