"Hey, hey, what'd my locker ever do to you to make you want to beat it up so badly?" I jumped at the sound of a raspy voice coming from right beside me. A heavy sigh followed my actions, and I could feel my face beginning to heat up as I faced the person who had witnessed my unfortunate interaction with the locker.

Katerina Ferron, preferably known as Katherine, had never spoken to her dangerously attractive locker neighbor, Alex Westbrook. She was always too caught up in her problems to pay any mind to the ruggedly good looking boy who also had struggles of his own.
However, one small interaction, some of Alex's quick witted remarks, and a few lucky twists of fate make the two realize that they have much more in common than they think - far more than just their tendency to curse like sailors.
Katherine wants to break through Alex's guarded exterior, but it comes at the risk of her heart.
A risk she's not sure she's ready to take.

Enraged by Jayce's infuriating words I couldn't hold back from using all my strength to shove against his chest, not that it was very affective . . . Either way I blacked out, being brought back a few short moments later when my back was brutally slammed into the metal lockers behind me. His glowering figure towering over me as he aggressively braced my shoulders against the lockers, an ominous glint in his darkening blue eyes as he glared down at me . . . As noticed, Kat and Jayce aren't the best of friends . . . Rather the opposite. They have never really been able to get along. Alex is a senior in high school. She is clumsy, loves reading, and loves to sing and draw. She is smart, good girl, and can be very fierce when needed. During the day she is normal but at night she is a spy. Bailey was told to go on a mission with her 2 best friend Benny and Kenna, where she meets Jacob. Jacob Davis is what you would call a bad boy, he also is a gang-leader to the biggest gang in the world. He smokes, parties, he has dealt with gangs, basically does what some teenagers nowadays do. He also hides behind his hood. He only talks to his best friends. He doesn't like social interaction. No one one has seen his face besides his friends. He doesn't date. He hates it. He doesn't like to be tied down. That is until he meets the shy, fierce, nerdy girl, Alex. Something about her long brown wavy hair, piercing blue eyes, and freckles, made him go crazy. I kept on moving back and he kept walking closer till my back touched the lockers. He trapped me in between his huge hands and I closed my eyes facing away "Why are you so scared of me?" he said in his amazingly husky voice. We've all heard about 'the main character'. The type of person who lives through the most dramatic and improbable situations, and finds the kind of epic romance you only see in works of fiction. Which makes you think about how unrealistic love like that is. I used to think the same thing until I met him. Until I met 'the bad boy' that, as it turns out, wasn't that bad at all, just simply...a boy. A boy with an easy smile, a charming personality and looks so enticing that I couldn't keep my eyes off of him if I tried. A boy whose shoulders were starting to slump with the weight of his past and his family. A boy who believed that the only way to survive was by putting a lock on his heart and chaining it down to a place so deep inside of him that no one could ever reach it again. A boy who, for reasons I'll never comprehend, placed the key inside my palm and didn't shy away when I tried to free his hidden heart from its restraints. A boy who made me the main character of my own story. A story I never want to forget, and which begged to be put on paper.
